Job Details
One of the leading UK food manufacturer are seeking to recruit an Engineering Planner / Co-ordinator. The engineering planner / coordinator will facilitate the smooth and efficient operation of the engineering function thus assisting the engineering personnel to meet the demands of the business and the production targets.
Key Skills Engineering Planner / Co-ordinator.;
Manage the day to day operations of the engineering dept excluding the engineering team members.
Provide administrative support to the engineering manager and where appropriate, liaise with the engineering team members to ensure efficient conclusion to breakdowns and during normal operations.
Prioritise tasks and where necessary direct the engineering personnel to ensure appropriate levels of satisfaction are met.
Participate constructively as a member of the dept, keeping everyone informed and proactively share your knowledge and expertise within the team.
Apply lean thinking techniques to ensure the productive capability of the plant is optimised and improved thus demonstrating commitment towards achieving factory targets.
Maintain the engineering maintenance systems currently using Shire training will be provided
Coordinate and manage the engineering labour cover and hours worked.
Continuously review the maintenance schedules and liaise with the engineering team to ensure standards of plant and equipment are maintained whilst minimising the labour required.
Develop daily maintenance schedules to ensure safe and efficient running of the plant and equipment, including compliance with our own Codes of Practice.
Optimise spares holding to effective levels to maintain equipment efficiency.
Communicate effectively with your manager and with all site personnel.
Support a culture that enhances behavioural awareness of quality, safety and the environment.
This is a days role on a salary scale of £25,000 with additional benefits, training will be provided on internal procedures.
